Last mile to the gate
Walk
5-min walk from Estadio Azteca Tren Ligero Station
The Tren Ligero has a dedicated Estadio Azteca station immediately adjacent to the stadium. It is the best last-mile in the tournament outside of Toronto's BMO Field.
Rideshare
Rideshare via Uber or DiDi
Uber and DiDi (the dominant ride-hailing app in Mexico City) are widely available. For a stadium this accessible by Metro + Tren Ligero, rideshare is rarely necessary except from hotels far from metro lines.
Shuttle
Post-match Metro: extended Tren Ligero service
Metro CDMX extends Tren Ligero service after matches. Trains from Estadio Azteca run until well after the final whistle. The 8 MXN fare remains constant regardless of time of day.

- Mexico City's rainy season. Heavy afternoon downpours, usually lasting 1-2 hours, are common from June onward. Mornings are typically clear and sunny.
Mexico City sits at 7,350 ft (2,240 m) altitude. Expect to feel the effects of altitude if arriving from sea level -- fatigue and shortness of breath are common for the first 24-48 hours. Stay hydrated, take it easy the day before the match, and avoid alcohol until you have acclimatized. Temperatures are mild by World Cup standards but the afternoon rain is reliable. Bring a compact umbrella.
